Nikolas E. Davis, of the 1100 block of South Idaho Street, is facing assault and reckless endangerment charges in connection with a chase that ended early Saturday morning in Wilson Borough. District Judge Roy Manwaring approved an arrest warrant for the 29 year old over the weekend. Saturday that Pennsylvania State Police was ending its pursuit of a white Chrysler sedan with a Florida registration that had entered Wilson. Court records do not specify why state police had been pursuing the vehicle. with a man behind the wheel and a woman in the front passenger seat. When the officer tried to conduct a traffic stop, the driver in the allegedly sped up and tried to ram his cruiser, according to records.

As the Chrysler sped away and tried to turn onto the 1800 block of Butler Street, it collided with a Chevy Cavalier. That when the offending driver hopped and ran north on South 18th Street, police said.

The abandoned passenger told police that the driver first name was and state police said they found a license identifying the driver as Davis. The borough police officer who tried to stop the car said he was able to get a look at the driver and that he matched the photo on the license.

A records check showed that Davis license had been suspended as an offender with a DUI charge in December 2010, a DUI highest rate charge in August 2012 and driving under the influence of a controlled substance charge in December 2012.
